Freiberg am Neckar, 3 April 2023. Industry 4.0 is largely defined by automation processes. In the field of intralogistics, the focus is not least on AGV technologies. The know-how and experience for driverless transport systems (AGVs) are usually still lacking. In order to communicate with suppliers at eye level in the long term, users need to gain perspective and build up their own competences. For AGV project planning, ProLog Automation has expanded its range of services to include AGV Mentoring 365: The one-year service provides users with close-knit support and prepares them sustainably for their individual intralogistics of the future.
Driverless transport systems are no longer dreams of the future – they have long since found their way into the production halls and logistics centres of various industries and companies. But as much as AGVs have already established themselves in a lot of ways today: It is a complex and novel technology, the functioning and operation of which humans are allowed to see through and learn.
Both in everyday work, but especially when dealing with suppliers, it is important for users to know what they are talking about and what they are working with. As a manufacturer-independent AGV service provider, ProLog Automation establishes a level precisely at this point where users and suppliers find a common wavelength. With the FTS Mentoring 365, ProLog mentors and coaches enable their customers to manage their own FTS projects step by step in a more confident and independent manner.
365 days of AGV support: Close exchange of experts for effective knowledge building
With independent and market-leading AGV expertise, ProLog forms an important link between suppliers and users of automated guided vehicles. Once an AGV project has been taken from the idea, simulation and conception to successful realisation, the specialised service provider also wants to provide new customers with competent advice and target-oriented support during project planning.
The ProLog AGV Mentoring 365 is thus aimed at users who want to introduce and securely establish their automated systems smoothly, as independently as possible and in effective dialogue with suppliers. ProLog supports independent project planning in automated intralogistics. With the comprehensive mentoring programme, AGV users can build a solid foundation for their future with automated guided vehicles over an entire year through knowledge building, advice and active support, even in the long term.
Individual and interactive: in-depth expertise and application-related feedback
In FTS Mentoring 365, users have access to a comprehensive online knowledge database from more than 25 years of experience. In addition, application-related AGV checklists and AGV templates for various requirements are always available online. Users also gain access to the ProLog AGV Community, where they can exchange general or specific information with other users on all topics and concerns relating to their automated guided vehicles.
Particularly effective and helpful: Twice a week, FTS Mentoring provides direct, constructive feedback from ProLog experts via Zoom. In the calls offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays, users regularly have the opportunity to address their concrete, project-related challenges and queries. In addition to the comprehensive, 365-day support provided by ProLog experts and mentors, users can take part in two AGV Academy training courses and are also invited to attend the ProLog Partner Event.
The basic idea and the design of the mentoring offer are based on practical experience gained from 800 successfully completed ProLog AGV projects. “For users, it can be frustrating to go into the project planning of such new technologies inexperienced or not to see eye-to-eye with suppliers,” describes Markus Zipper from ProLog. The goal is clearly defined: With the AGV Mentoring 365, the user is enabled to effectively and efficiently project his AGV project himself.
